Wilwerwiltz

L’origine du nom Wilwerwiltz remonte à Saint Willibrord et plus précisément au terme de Wilibrordus-Wiltz, c‘est-à-dire le gué de Saint Willlibrord. Selon la légende, Saint Willibrord traversait le village et faisait une pause dans un vallon herbeux. C’est alors que le propriétaire des lieux se manifesta et voulut chasser Saint Willibrord. Celui-ci prit sa canne et la planta dans le sol d’où une source émergea, la fontaine salvatrice de St. Willibrord.
