Balade des Cailloux Blancs (White Pebbles walk)

A foretaste of the Ardennes forests around the Cailloux-Blancs spring.
Discreetly nestled in the heart of the forest, the "Cailloux Blancs" spring is full of incredibly pure water. The Pierrard Brewery in Mellier has exploited this exceptional water for several decades, as early as 1939.
Mellier is a very old town, which already existed under the Merovingians! Mellier even had its own castle which was destroyed at the end of the Middle Ages.
This walk takes you through a small part of the Ardennes forest with the scent of spruce. The route offers a magnificent view of the village, its railway station, which has become a village house, and the listed site of the forges, which is full of history.
