Leffe Hike (Dinant)

Very pleasant walk to discover the natural reserve "Devant Bouvignes". Calcicole lawn with a beautiful plant diversity and an impregnable view on the medieval city of Bouvignes and the fortress of Crèvecoeur. The descent towards the Meuse valley is made along a shooting range installed in an old quarry. It is a bit noisy but not dangerous.
Arrived at the roadway, we turn to the right until the limit of the vineyard to join the shaded banks of the Meuse, very picturesque. On the heights, one would indeed think one was in Provence; the edge of the river looks like the Mississippi. Only the last kilometer is on the main road.
In the neighborhood of Leffe, next to the abbey, you will find one of the best local restaurants in the region: Le Confessionnal. This atypical restaurant offers excellent French cuisine just like your grandmother's. An unforgettable experience. However, be sure to make reservations in advance as seating is limited but very popular.
Would you like to visit the Abbey of Leffe? Be aware that it opens only in July and August during weekends at 3:00 pm for a guided tour with one of the abbot fathers.
Are you more interested in beer? Then visit the Maison Leffe, an interactive museum about the making of this world famous beverage.
