Located in the Eastern Cantons, the Brasserie de Bellevaux will introduce you to the delights of its artisanal Ardenne brews.
Set in a former farm, this family microbrewery will explain the various steps in the making of these high fermentation craft beers: lager, dark, white and the Malmedy Triple. All can be tasted in the tavern on site.
The beers and its terroir products
The Brasserie Bellevaux finds inspiration in the surrounding Eastern Cantons, a land of traditions. During the visit, you will get a chance to see the stunning red copper tanks used to brew the Bellevaux.

Tour of the brewery on request. The brewery is open for sales on Fridays and Saturdays from 4.30 pm to 6 pm.
Founded in the spring of 2013, the brewery is housed in an old farmhouse where the fermentation vats have replaced the feed troughs and the hayloft has been transformed into a tasting room.
Opposite the brewery is a chapel built of sandstone blocks and covered with a slate roof on top of which is a four-sided bell tower. This elegant chapel dedicated to St. Remacle features an inscription probably dating from the time it was built in 1801. It is not open to the public.

Along the old Thier de Liège, a monument has been erected in memory of the poet Guillaume Apollinaire who stayed in the region in 1899. He liked to walk in the Fens.

An exceptional brasserie in a rural setting

The December 44 Museum traces the events of 1944. Some 1,000 m² of floor space is earmarked for the Battle of the Bulge. This first-class museum is recognised for its wealth of specific collections and its superb presentations.

Off route: (Former) Borgoumont Sanatorium

Built in the 1900s, the building has been left derelict for 10 years. Roughly 150 metres long, this impressive sandstone block building is south-facing with a concave structure. There is also a small bell tower in the middle of the building. A special atmosphere lingers on from its past glory.
To get there, turn left on the route, go under an original portico and past the new sanatorium. Drive for another 500 meters. It is forbidden and dangerous to visit the inside of the building.
