Les Avins - The Romantic Condroz Region
A magical walk to discover secret castles, charming villages and meandering peaceful rivers, the Condroz countryside exudes magic.
In Avins, time passes peacefully ... The route enters the heart of the Condroz region, via a superb path which runs along the Hoyoux river, leaving traces of its former history. Here and there, you can still observe ancient reaches and locks of the river, rusted by time. In Tibiémont, the hamlet is surrounded by the pretty river that you enjoy crossing. A beautiful winding path leads you to vast fields. There you can take the RAVeL path towards Havelange. After one kilometer, the route leaves it to cross a leafy wood. The path criss crosses through the meadows: it is a bit like a picture book landscape of the countryside all rounded off by the magnificent site of the Château du Hoyoux. The return loop crosses superb villages nestled in verdant, peaceful valleys.
