Laclaireau : Towards Montauban

This magnificent walk takes you amidst the natural landscape of the ‘Gaume‘ region. A part of Belgium that has its own particular micro-climate in the south of the Luxembourg province.
Purity and health ‘par excellence’ best describes this valley which is known for its ‘Valvert‘ spring water.
The beauty of this walk lies above all in the diverse landscapes it crosses; firstly along the ‘Gros Ruisseau’ (River), then in the intimacy of the fir forest and finally continuing in another forest of soft green deciduous trees. This hike really shows off the best of ‘Cron de Montauban‘ and its archaeological site – an open air museum which is really worth a visit. Don’t miss a chance to explore the magical ruins of the ancient fortification and contemporary art installations.
The epic viewpoint over the Montauban forest’s four hills is a must, leaving you with a magnificent memory of your stay in the forest of the legendary ‘Quatre Fils Aymon’
