Perhaps you will meet the king of our forests at the bend in a forest path ?

The deer trail offers you the opportunity to discover the character of the Southern Ardennes in just under 15 km. The old farmhouse with its lime walls, crushed under the weight of its shale roof, sums up the harshness of rural life. From the damp and cold spruce forest, which exhales its odours of humus and mushrooms, to the more welcoming beech forests, you can, at the bend in the path, come across a goose followed by its young, a roe deer grazing on the grass, a fox looking for its meal or the noble stag, stealthy in the coppice. Here, it is a skidder with his faithful Ardennais, there, the farmer who watches his herd. Further on, a hunter on the lookout. At the entrance to a village, crosses remind us of the religious fervour and beliefs of a harsh region. But the Ardennes is also a carpet of daffodils in the spring, moorlands blooming with golden broom, stunned by the heat of a summer sun, willowherbs dancing in the wind, it is an explosion of colours in all seasons. So let yourself be carried away by its wild smells, its landscapes, its forests, its paths, its streams and trails. Then perhaps, at the exit of a wood, you will come across one of the last witches who still haunt our forests.
