Sentier des Contrebandiers

Relive the days of the smugglers and cross the border without being spotted by customs officers, so you can bring back your goods while admiring the beauty of the Ardennes forest and its wildlife!
The ‘sentier des contrebandiers’ is a hike starting from Gespunsart on the French side and Bagimont (Belgium) that crosses the Ardennes Regional Nature Park in France and the Semois Valley National Park in Belgium.
This 16 to 20 kilometre walk, which is also accessible by mountain bike, takes in a beautiful mix of flora and fauna, and allows you to discover the various practices of the smugglers and to see the famous barracks.
