À Tellin

A - The bell and chimes museum - reopenning spring 2016

Although just a small village, in the 19th century Tellin held an important position in the regional economy thanks to the manufacture of bells. This rural art is the fruit of a long family tradition of foundrymen, the Causards. The museum shows what this factory must have looked like when it closed: you can still feel the presence of the last worker fashioning a piece of gold or silverware. After all, in winter, when the kilns stopped working, the foundry worker became a clockmaker.
