Near the River Meuse at Hastière, Lily Vernimmen has created the first unusual B&B in Wallonia. Her guests are immediately aware of her warm welcome to this atypical B&B, nestling in a traditional Meuse valley stone building.
A passionate player of board games, Lily has decorated her four guest bedrooms inspired by the world of Cluedo. As soon as they are all occupied, the guests can launch themselves into a free murder mystery party, devised and developed by their hostess. In addition, each themed guest bedroom has its own unusual "Enigma Rooms" puzzle to solve. Finally, Lily has also created an escape room based on real-life events, on the second floor.
And, for guests who'd like more solitude, there's a separate fifth guest bedroom in "Miles", a camper van parked next to the Meuse. Lily plans to offer tourist round-trips in the Ardennes, travelling in Miles and visiting all the most beautiful spots.

Lily recommends: La Flobette
You really deserve a visit to La Flobette! It's a bar-restaurant in the Furfooz nature reserve that is only accessible on foot, a 20-minute walk from the nearest road. It thus offers an excellent opportunity for a stroll to explore the countryside and some Gallo-Roman ruins, with a pause in this timeless place next to the River Lesse in an enchanting setting. Magic!
It's an extraordinary place, explains Lily: Florence Lebailly knows how to make the most of what the local countryside offers. She's hugely creative and takes great pains to make every plate of food as good as possible. She makes a lot herself and sources the rest locally, with as few food miles as possible. Her plates are garnished with wild plants and herbs foraged nearby and include soups, things on toast, croque-monsieur, wild quiches and veggieburgers. In the autumn, she adds wild pizzas and mushrooms on toast… All washed down with local artisan beers, or home-made fruit syrups and juices. Simple and tasty. Authentic, joined-up and connected to nature.
