Christmas markets in the Ardennes

When the Ardennes region lights up for Christmas, the magic works every time.
At the end of November, the Ardennes region displays its most beautiful lights and Christmas carols ring out on either side of the borders. The festive season is imminent and, once again, the hope of a white Christmas is in everyone's hearts. In the towns and villages, everyone goes into action to ensure the pleasures of winter are as magical as ever.

Charleville-Mézières, the most characteristic of the Ardennes

This Christmas market maintains the same appeal year after year, with its constant good humour, naturally, but also its fire performances, concerts and arts and crafts all from the local region!

Other events such as the Christmas parade, the appearance of Saint Nicholas and various other shows add to the already enchanting programme.

Rethel, the most family-spirited

If you feel like doing a Christmas market with your family, then don't miss the one in Rethel. Horse-drawn carriage rides, mascot parades, the presence of Father Christmas, hot wine and chocolate... everything is done to make the little ones' eyes shine (and the big ones' as well!).

Léglise, 100% local

Since 2013, Léglise has been organising a local market. As every year, the local producers meet one last time to offer you their best products to put under the Christmas tree or to taste on New Year's Eve!

At the Slate Museum, the most typical

This market that occupies a former slate quarry is one of the most typical. It is also one of the first Christmas markets to open every year, launching the season with a promise of wonderful agape feasts. At this venue steeped in history, it takes just a glance at the array of chalets to plunge you straight into the Christmas spirit!

Durbuy, the most magical

The little streets of the world's smallest town are quite simply magical during the winter holiday season. Succumb to the enchantment of the soothing atmosphere and don't leave without trying the famous "Foie gras potato of Durbuy" as you celebrate with the crowds of locals.

Eupen, the most ancient

Around sixty chalets await you in Belgium's oldest Christmas village. With food and music, a living nativity scene and concerts inside the church, you'll find all the atmosphere of Christmas in one spot!

Maredsous, the best Christmas spirit

Arlon, the most caring

The Christmas market at Arlon takes place under a heated marquee and in a spirit of solidarity. Indeed, for several years now, most of the product sales have been in aid of charities for the deprived of Belgium and elsewhere. There'll also be an ice rink!

Wiltz, the most convivial

Liège, the biggest

Namur, the most festive
