Charming Meadow Farm offers two large gîtes and one smaller one. Nathalie and Manu Delfosse are not full-time farmers, but they raise livestock and are delighted to share their passion with their guests and tell them about life in the countryside. They bridge the missing link between “townies” and farmers.
They live their daily lives close to nature, and bring this link to life by practices such as sorting refuse for recycling; the sustainable use of water, electricity and heating; and repairing and re-using where possible. They support local businesses by offering to pre-order food for their guests which will be in the fridge when they arrive. Their renovation of a bread oven dating back to 1866 is in the same spirit. They use it to bake bread and cook pizzas, while they and their guests chat and take their time nearby. The shared games room and the Hummingbird Workshop also add to the link. What happiness!

Nathalie and Manu's good idea: the "Intrigue at the farm" app.
Helping farm animals solve their problem is a great way of learning more about their environment and to get a better picture of real life in the countryside. Created by Accueil champêtre en Wallonie ('Wallonia Rural Welcome') , the “Intrigue at the farm” app is an exciting interactive game set in eight farms or other rural accommodation in Wallonia.
Participants have to work with Rupert the bull, Aglaë the sow, Zoé the goat or Prosper the sheep. They have to solve riddles with the help of their families or friends, observe the environment and ask themselves the right questions. It’s a great way to explore legends, rural life, cultural and architectural features and the history of Walloon villages.
The start points include the Ferme Saint-Martin at Manhay, the Ferme de la Planche at Gouvy and the Ferme du Pré Charmant at Durbuy, plus five village centres.
