Saint Martin's farm

SainT Martin's farm

Vincent Sépult

Immerse yourself in a busy working farm, learn about farm work, feed calves milk from a bottle, distribute grain to the animals… So many simple and revitalising moments to experience here.

One large gîte, another designed for families with children and four B&B guest bedrooms in the farmhouse, all forming a great base for exploring.

Vincent and Marielle Sépult also run a tearoom where their guests and passing tourists can enjoy great local produce: beers, cheeses, pancakes and ice-cream, all either home-made or produced locally … just like the breakfasts.

An unusual feature is that the farm generates green energy that heats a communal hot-water boiler for the village.

The farm is a popular stop for hikers walking the GR14 long-distance footpath, cyclists who love the hill-climbs on the routes of the Ardennes Classics races, remembrance tourism visitors and fans of the ski runs at La Baraque Fraiture … Vincent can also suggest plenty of other ideas for visitors, as well as great local places to eat, of course!

Vincent recommends: Chlorophyll Park

Art, games and nature. A park unlike any others reveals the secrets of the Ardennes forest.

We are at Chlorophyll Park at Dochamps, a 9-hectare nature park. A 2km educational trail tells the story of the Ardennes forest on a series of educational panels. Twenty-four wooden experiences help all the family learn in an amusing way.

A large 200m-long footbridge in the treetops, 15m above the ground leads to a series of themed cabins, interactive modules, games, attractive illustrations of nature and several observation platforms. All of which teach visitors something about the forest, while having fun. Back down at ground level, visitors will be surprised by works of art located here and there, completely blended into the landscape. When art and nature answer each other...

And to finish, you can create adventures in the playgrounds whose wooden equipment creates incredible lands to explore.
