Les Framboisiers
Vinciane Lamotte
Two 3-ears-of-corn farm gîtes at the heart of an organic Limousin cattle farm, where Vinciane will show you her work, feeding the animals, which also include Ardennes draught horses, sheep, rabbits, Ardennes miniature chickens, deer, a peacock and Canada geese.
Here you'll find all the ingredients needed to recharge your batteries.
Small, simple pleasures. An authentic setting. In the games room, a ping-pong table, table football and a multi-gym. In the garage, sledges for snowy days.
Soon to be awarded the "Bikes Welcome" award, the gîtes have bike storage and repair facilities. It's an ideal location for exploring local villages and the Anlier Forest, as well as Neufchâteau with its ruined castle, vineyard and lake, for fishing or canoeing.
Go back to nature for a weekend or longer…

Vinciane recommends: Sanglochons Farm
An iconic place in the Ardennes, Sanglochons Farm is a restaurant, a shop and a museum. An unusual place that makes your mouth water.
In the restaurant, the menu features traditional cooking above all, with the odd contemporry touch. The golden thread running through the menu is Ardennes pork and cooked meats: Gratinée de Florenville, hand-cut brawn, touffaye gaumaise, farmhouse ham and slow-cooked ham hocks… the vegetables, cheese and wine are mostly fresh, local and organic.
The same spirit is visible in the shop, which sells a range of house specialities based on Ardennes pork, wild boar and other seasonal game. There's also home-made elderflower wine, wild boar "milk", sloe gin and soon there will be honey as a hive will be installed soon.
In the museum, visitors can follow the Ardennes ham production process, from old-fashioned salting, to smoking, fermentation and drying. They will also explain what a sanglochon is…
